Factitious disorder (FD) is charecterized by intentionally production of illness signs and symptoms to assume sick role. It can present with both physical and psychological signs and symptoms. FD is coded according to the subtype that characterizes the predominant symptoms; psychological, physical, with combined psychological and physical signs and symptoms and FD not otherwise specified (Factitious disorder by Proxy (FDP) is included in this category). FD and FDP comorbidity is rare. In this paper we present a thirtytwo years-old woman who burned her three years old daughter.
